Repair Submission Process

If your equipment requires service, please follow the steps below to begin the repair process with our Service Department:

What to Include with Your Shipment:

  • A brief description of the problem

  • Contact information, including:

    • Full Name

    • Phone Number

    • Email Address

  • A return shipping address

Repair Evaluation & Warranty Coverage

Once your unit is received, our technicians will inspect and evaluate it.

  • If the issue is covered under warranty, the unit will be repaired immediately and returned at no cost to you.

  • If the issue is not covered by warranty, we will email you a repair quote detailing all charges. You may approve or decline the repair by replying to the email.

Repair Fees

  • A $100 diagnostic fee applies to all non-warranty repairs.

  • If you approve the repair, this fee will be credited toward your total repair cost.

  • If you decline the repair, the $100 fee will be billed to your account.

No “RMA” Required

An RMA number is not required to initiate a repair. Simply include the required information and ship your unit to us.

Repair policy

ML-1, ML-1M, ML-3 Standard, ML-3 Long  |  PL-VF Series, PL-TT Series, Wireless Inductive Clamp

Any repairs made that are not covered by the SSI Warranty will be billed for parts, labor, shipping, and handling. Repair quotes will be provided, and customers must provide prior authorization for the repair in writing. Allow 5 business days for the repair and return. Repairs have a 12-month warranty.

SSI’s team of skilled technicians is qualified to quickly repair Underground Locating Equipment to its original factory specifications.
